    For Liberty City resident Izegbe Onyango, purchasing fresh, affordable produce hasn’t been easy. With no grocery store within a mile radius of her city, more than 50,000 residents like Onyango are left with convenience stores, quick shops and fast food to feed their families. “Having fresh produce should be a basic human right,” says Onyango.

  • Key Biscayne bans vessels from Mashta Flats sandbar off village

    Key Biscayne Council members voted last week to prohibit vessels from the Mashta Flats, a multi-acre Biscayne Bay sandbar located off the village.     The Monica Burguera Foundation (MBF) in conjunction with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary offers FREE boating safety classes as a public service for the local community.     Hundreds of Liberty City children filed out of yellow schoolbuses and onto the Village Green park in Key Biscayne for an outdoor Christmas party. They were greeted Saturday by Santa Claus before running out onto the playing field to race each other, do cartwheels, toss footballs and play on an inflatable slide. Miami Fire Rescue

The Key Biscayne Community Foundation helps people who are philanthropic and who understand the value of charitable work to give effectively through donor funds.

As a donor, you start a fund with the Community Foundation to support your many charitable causes. Your gift is invested and grants from your Fund support the projects that matter to you, and the grants carry your name.
