Key Biscayne Community Foundation

The Key Biscayne Community Foundation (KBCF) helps people who are philanthropic and who understand the value of charitable work give effectively through donor advised funds and other fund options.

As a donor, you create a fund with the Community Foundation to support charitable causes important to you. Your gift is invested and grants from your fund support projects that matter to you. Those grants are made in your name.

The Key Biscayne Community Foundation addresses community needs and effects positive change. By closely monitoring local issues, opportunities and resources, KBCF has an in-depth understanding of the region’s challenges and the organizations addressing them. Together with our volunteers, we work to establish initiatives for change across subject areas essential to the well-being of every community member. Key Storytellers

The Key Storytellers project utilizes the art of oral storytelling through a series of talks, lectures, and interactive-programming to share ideas, history, and research with the community. A community is made up of individuals, and we each have a story to tell.

Citizen Scientist Project

The mission of the Citizen Scientist Project is to use citizen and professional scientists to monitor and to protect resources, and to share information on the most critical natural resources of Key Biscayne and Virginia Key.

Life Enhancement Forum

Our mission is to enhance life of residents through: (1) lectures from doctors and practitioners on food and diet; (2) scientific reports on combating chronic-illness; and, (3) participation in evidence-based exercises like matter of balance and enhance fitness.

Make a Lasting Impact

A KBCF fund performs much like a private foundation, but without you assuming any of the legal or administrative burdens. A KBCF fund can be created in a matter of hours at no start-up cost to you; this is a much more direct process compared to the months of administrative work and financial expense required to create a private foundation. Once you start a fund with the Key Biscayne Community Foundation, you can support charitable causes with grants from your fund, and any grant made carries your name.

Memorial Donations

A memorial gift is an indelible way to remember a special person within our community. A memorial gift ensures that an individual’s legacy continues to help others for years to come.

The Key Biscayne Community Foundation accepts donations in memory of loved ones, friends, and community members. A memorial donation is a beautiful testament to the life of a beloved family member or friend who has recently passed.

Personalized Giving & Professional Advisors

The Key Biscayne Community Foundation offers a direct, powerful, and highly personalized approach to giving. We offer a variety of tools and resources to help people achieve their charitable goals and create lasting positive impact in the local and greater community.

Families, individuals and private foundations turn to us for the convenience, tax benefits, and privacy that our funds can provide them in achieving their charitable objectives without the burden of administration and IRS filings.
