As we get ready to celebrate 250 years of Independence on July 4th alongside our 67th annual Key Biscayne Parade, we’re excited to share helpful details to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.
This event is plastic-free, so please bring refillable bottles. We’ll be distributing canned water and cold towels to keep everyone cool and hydrated.
Just a quick reminder: there’s no water gun squirting at the parade floats, as many of them contain electrical equipment that can’t get wet, and water could pose a safety risk if someone slips. The designated water zone will be located in front of the firehouse.
Also, please avoid throwing beads or anything else at the floats or any items from the floats to the audience—that’s for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. You can hand out items to parade-goers.
