Key Biscayne Community Center, Island Room, 2nd floor
The Stamps String Quartet is comprised of four outstanding young string musicians (violin,
violin, viola, cello) who are enrolled at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. Following
their debut year as part of the premiere ensemble program, the burgeoning Stamps String
Quartet Class 2022 explores an ambitious yet incredibly dynamic 20th Century program. Enjoy
the rhapsodic elements of Sergei Prokofiev’s 2nd String Quartet, the sonority of Arvo Pärt’s
‘Summa’, and the vivid illustrations of Béla Bartók’s 1st String Quartet.
A complimentary wine and cheese reception will be served.
The Winter Music Concert Series is a program made possible by the Village Council of Key Biscayne with
support from the Key Biscayne Community Foundation. This initiative is led by Committee members: Gloria
Kahn, Patricia Woodson, Amarylli Fridegotto and Clinton Bush with the help of Melissa White, Todd Hofferberth,
and Ana Colls. From October to April, there is a monthly concert in the Village of Key Biscayne that
showcases the best local musicians with everything from choirs to quartets, orchestras to jazz bands.
