The 21st Annual Jorge Portela Memorial Give-or-Take An Inch, Half-Ass Fishing & Diving Tournament is on June 18, 2018. Registration for this event closes on June 8, 2018. Our tournament originated in 1994 from a friendly bet amongst Jorge’s friends as to who could catch more fish: the anglers or the divers? Unfortunately, in 1997 our good friend Jorge lost his battle against cancer. At that time, the name was officially changed to the Jorge Portela Memorial, Give or take an inch, Half Ass Fishing and Dive tournament.
In a change from prior years, the captain’s meeting will be held at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club on Thursday June 14th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. The fish fry will still be held at the Key Biscayne Beach Club on June 16th starting at 6:00pm.
