In part, I have a lifelong debt to pay. Nameless individuals provided their time and money to help me when I came as an unaccompanied 10 year old to the US in the 60’s. I honor their memory and their help whenever I volunteer.

I continue to be grateful and happy to be part of this wonderful community. After retiring six years ago, I resumed some of the school volunteer activities I did 35 years ago and became involved with some new activities such as feeding the homeless program at St. Agnes, the ASK program and Community Center cultural

I have been giving my time to the 4th of July Committee for all these years because I have wanted to give something back to this Community where I have lived for so long. Its been my way of giving thanks and I have enjoyed it!

The Fourth of July has been my favorite Holiday since I was a little girl. Celebrating America’s Independence is the right thing to do. It is our home, our life, our being. It holds a very special place in my heart, and who doesn’t enjoy a beautiful parade to start the day?
