The need on the ground is urgent and key organizations across Greater Miami have mobilized to meet immediate needs, coordinating with emergency service personnel to support those affected.
Thanks to the generosity of over 6,500 donors, Support Surfside is awarding $155,000 in initial grants to 8 nonprofit organizations so they may continue to provide relief services including support for basic needs, housing, and mental health services for the families impacted by the building collapse in Surfside, Florida.

There is so much related to this disaster to still be assessed and we are working closely with the impacted families, community-based organizations on the ground, local governments, and FEMA to determine where philanthropic funds are most needed. Starting Monday, June 26, the Support Surfside team will be on site at the Family Assistance Center that was created by Miami-Dade County to provide Visa gift cards for verified victims and to assess community need.
Hardship fund guidelines are being created and will be shared here as the extent of the crisis continues to unfold.
