Scholarships, Giving Circles, and Field of Interest Funds

Investing in Our Future

The Key Biscayne Community Foundation believes that education is crucial to bettering our future. KBCF offers numerous scholarships to reward academic excellence, leadership, compassion, and students acting to better our local, greater, or global communities.

Our Scholarships, Giving Circles, and Field of Interest funds include:

Eileen McCaughan Memorial Scholarship

The family and friends of Eileen McCaughan established the Scholarship to honor the life of an outstanding teenager who was tragically killed by a drunk driver at just 15 years old.

Key Biscayne Women’s Giving Circle

The Key Biscayne Women’s Giving Circle is devoted to growing philanthropy among women, with the aim of identifying and financially supporting programs for women, children, and families in need throughout Miami-Dade County.

Liberty City Scholarship Fund

In partnership with the Chief Press Foundation, the Liberty City Student College Scholarship by Bill & Toby Rohrer aims to better the lives of students living in our Sister City, Liberty City. The scholarship is available to high school students from Liberty City wishing to continue their education at Miami-Dade College.

Michael’s Magic Camp

The Michael Scholz Memorial Charitable Fund was established to celebrate the passion for the outdoors displayed by Key Biscayne resident Michael Scholz and to honor the magical way in which he brought people together and touched their lives.

Robert Kemper M.D., PhD. Award for Professionalism in Medicine

In 2011, our community lost Dr. Bob to cancer. Beyond being the best community doctor a village could hope for, he was a great father, husband, neighbor, and friend.
