HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF: VILLAGE PARTNERS WITH KEY BISCAYNE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Do you want to help victims of the Haitian Earthquake? The Village and the Key Biscayne Community Foundation have teamed up to accept monetary donations that will be forwarded to established charitable organizations.

As a unified community effort to provide emergency assistance to victims of the Haiti earthquake on January 12, the Village will partner with the Key Biscayne Community Foundation (KBCF). In this initial phase of assistance the primary need is funding. There will be additional long-term efforts necessary to assist residents of the Western Hemisphere’s poorest country as they struggle to recover from this devastating natural disaster.

The Community Foundation-Natural Disaster Relief Fund will forward all donations on behalf of the Village of Key Biscayne. The Natural Disaster Relief Fund was created in 2005 to provide aid for Hurricane Katrina victims and has since also sent aid for Hurricane Ike victims in 2008…
