The new school year is upon us and brings promises of new friends, exciting activities and a positive future!  For many children and adolescents, back-to-school activities include fall sports, band, music lessons, scouting, cheerleading, art, drama, dance and more. Sadly, many foster children are often unable to participate in these activities due to lack of finances.

The Keith Brooking Children’s Foundation is committed to impacting the lives of foster children by fulfilling specific needs that are not or cannot be met through their foster families or residential facilities.  The Defining Opportunity Program makes it possible for foster children to participate in sports, music, arts and other school activities. Their involvement in these programs help them build self-esteem, fit in with their peers, and provides them a chance to develop their talents and pursue their dreams.
